The Breguet Tradition Quantième Rétrograde quickly became one of the most technically challenging watch drawings I’ve worked on. What fascinated me most wasn’t only the movement itself, but the incredible variety of textures layered throughout the watch. Brushed metal, polished surfaces, engraved details, leather, reflections, shadows, every section seemed to demand a completely different approach.
Over time, the drawing shifted from simply capturing a watch to understanding how different materials and surfaces behave on paper without losing their character. Releasing it as a limited edition giclée print felt like the natural next step, allowing collectors and watch enthusiasts to experience the layered textures and atmosphere of the original artwork in a more accessible format.
