Breguet Tradition Quantième Rétrograde
This drawing is built around what I love most about Breguet, the honesty of the mechanics. Nothing is hidden. The bridges, wheels, textures, and patterns are all exposed, almost like an open-heart version of watchmaking. The retrograde date display adds another layer of movement and complexity, giving the whole piece a sense of controlled chaos.
Working on it felt a bit like navigating a tiny city of metal and shadows. Every surface has its own personality: brushed, polished, grainy, or engraved. The challenge was finding harmony in all those textures without losing the structure. It’s the kind of watch where the more time you spend with it, the more you notice, and that slow discovery is what makes pieces like this so satisfying to draw.
