Spring Time
Collection: Bloomscape
Based on a photo by Karl Blossfeldt, this hyperrealistic drawing is a small study in structure. Blossfeldt’s photography has this way of treating plants like architecture, and I wanted to explore that same feeling in graphite. The shapes are simple but incredibly elegant, curves rising, opening, and reaching upward.
There’s something calming about drawing from nature in this way. You focus on form rather than color, and the beauty comes from the rhythm of the lines instead of anything dramatic.
