Organic Beauty is a 2009 graphite portrait built around contrast, a soft, detailed white veil covering almost the entire face, paired with deep black tones in the bags, the eye, and the lips. It’s one of my simpler pieces from that period, but still a favourite. Even without heavy detail, it still feels soft, gentle, and very ‘2009 me’.

I’ve lost most of the original documentation for these early works, so I’m slowly rediscovering and re-photographing what I still have.
