This drawing was an exercise in balance, how something so understated can still feel incredibly powerful. The IWC Portugieser is known for its clean geometry and calm, open dial, and that simplicity is exactly what drew me to it. There’s nothing loud about this watch; instead, it has a quiet confidence that comes from proportion and clarity.

Working on it reminded me how challenging simplicity can be. With fewer elements to hide behind, every line has to be intentional, and every shadow has to land just right. It’s the kind of piece that forces you to slow down and pay attention, almost like the watch itself is guiding the pace.
