This was a commissioned drawing I worked on in 2022. I’ve always been drawn to pilot watches, and the IWC Pilot Le Petit Prince Edition has a quiet elegance that makes it so compelling to draw. Capturing every subtle texture and contour, from the carefully designed dial to the elegant case, is always a challenge, but watching it slowly emerge in graphite was deeply rewarding. The drawing features both the face of the watch and the caseback, which shows the Little Prince with his cape and sword, a beautiful tribute to the story that inspired the design.
