Geisha is a mixed-media portrait where I played with graphite and marker, much more graphic and stylized than my usual hyperrealistic approach. I experimented with a lot of media in those years, and I learned quickly that markers aren’t my favourite. I just prefer the feel and texture of pencil. Still, this one sits as a good snapshot of that experimental phase.
