This drawing was a commission for Nivari, featuring their new Eden collection, specifically the Sakura dial. Inspired by cherry blossoms and the traditional Japanese seigaiha wave pattern, the dial’s soft pink tones shift subtly with light, and capturing that nuance required careful layering and blending of colour. The result emphasizes the delicate, layered feeling of the design, inviting the viewer to linger and notice its quiet details.

The background features the Japanese seigaiha wave pattern, drawn to create the optical illusion of engraving, adding subtle depth without distracting from the dial. Together, dial and background create a composition that balances texture, light, and elegance.
